Liberal faction in CMC accused of infleuence peddling

The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) did not include in the agenda of the July 29 meeting the draft decision on leasing a building located on Dacia Blvd. out to the company Termogaz Servicii. The company's manager Victor Gurau accused the faction of the Liberal Party in the CMC, especially its leader Cornel Pantea, of influence peddling, Info-Prim Neo reports. Victor Gurau said the draft decision has been left out at two consecutive meetings. According to him, he obtained the approvals of all the specialized commissions and has even a court decision. For his part, Cornel Pantea denied the accusations, saying that he does not know what draft decision Gurau was speaking about and that the agenda is compiled not by the councilors. Councilor Oleg Cernei said the draft decision is not discussed because there is great interest in that building, adding there are no legal reasons not to include the issue in the agenda of two consecutive meetings.
