The Liberal Democratic Party will hold a meeting on March 19 to discuss the Communists’ initiative to dismiss Head of Parliament Marian Lupu, the party’s leader Vlad Filat said in an interview for Radio Free Europe, quoted by IPN.
”It is a situation that we should discuss thoroughly within the party and come to a decision. A decision should be taken not in order to satisfy the wishes and goals of the Communist Party. It should be a rational decision,” said Vlad Filat.
The Communists initiated the procedure for dismissing the Speaker last week, after Marian Lupu postponed the meeting of the Sanding Bureau and the legislative body’s sittings. The announcement concerning the postponement was made by the Parliament’s press service.
