The Liberal-Democratic lawmaker Petru Stirbate was banned access to the Transnistrian region. The incident happened in the evening of June 12, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Liberal Democratic Party, the MP was returning from Kiev, where he took part in a regional conference. The so-called Transnistrian border guards didn’t allow him to pass, saying he is a persona non grata and should go back.

The members of the Liberal-Democratic parliamentary group expressed their concern about this incident.
