Liberal-Democrat lawmaker: We cannot say PLDM and PCRM formed a coalition in Sauca

“The Liberal-Democrat councilor decided that he can help solve problems of local interest together with the major faction. We should not shout that the PLDM formed a coalition with the PCRM,” Liberal-Democrat lawmaker Tudor Deliu stated for Info-Prim Neo, when asked to comment on the decision of a PLDM councilor in Sauca village to join the faction of the PCRM in the village council. “I do not understand why they insist so much on dispersing the people. We should not forget that the first-level councils consist of 9, 11 or at most 13 persons who are relatives or friends. The Liberal-Democrat councilor considered that he can decide nothing alone. However, he can promote policies to resolve problems of local interest through the Communist faction” said Tudor Deliu. He also said that the exclusion of the Sauca councilor from the PLDM is not being discussed. Anyway, such a decision can be taken only by the local organization of the PLDM in Sauca. “We should not make a tragedy of this,” Tudor Deliu added. Six Communist councilors, three Democrat councilors, one Liberal councilor and one Liberal-Democrat councilor entered the local council of Sauca village in Ocnita district after the elections. On July 1, the representatives of the PCRM and the Liberal-Democrat councilor constituted a common faction. Mayor of Sauca Iraida Jitari, who is currently also local councilor representing the PCRM, said the faction was set up following disagreements over decision making, at the suggestion of the Communist councilors and the Liberal-Democrat councilor. Earlier, the leaders of the parties that formed the Alliance for European Integration said their parties will not form local alliances with the opposition party – the PCRM.
