The Liberal councilors on the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) accuse again acting mayor Silvia Radu of incompetence and abuse. According to them, on the one hand, Silvia Radu suggests merging a number of divisions by absorption. On the other hand, she announced a contest to fill a number of posts of heads of divisions that are to be reorganized, IPN reports.

“Silvia Radu failed to deal with the ice on the streets and was lucky as the sun appeared and solved a part of the problems. Now the second part of the epopee starts, with abuses at the City Hall. After showing full incompetence, now she shows complete abuse,” the leader of the Liberal councilors Ion Cebanu told a news conference.

He said the economic substantiation and the logic of the organizational reform proposed by Silvia Radu are not clear. Besides the attempts to have these decisions approved by the competent commissions, there were no legal and economic appraisals to see what happens if two-three divisions are merged.

According to the Liberal councilor, Silvia Radu rather pursues the goal of getting rid of functionaries. Ion Cebanu gave as example the case of an adviser to the mayor general, who was suspended because Dorin Chirtoaca had been suspended. 

The Liberals insist that only a person chosen by people has legitimacy to do such reforms and Silvia Radu is not such a person.
