A representative of the Liberal Party on the Chisinau Municipal Council is accused of appropriating the property of the commercial company “Avinion Com”. Petru Carastan, who presented himself as the owner of the company, told a news conference that councilor Vasile Petrea abused his position and acted illegally, Info-Prim Neo reports. Petru Carastan asserted that SRL “Avinion Com”, in which he owns a major holding, and SRL “Mavel-Mond”, where Vasile Petrea is the only associate, formed together SRL “Alepa-Bas”. “Avinion Com” owned 36% of the shares in this company, while SRL “Mavel-Mond” − 64%. According to Petru Carastan, this May Petrea Vasile, abusing his post of administrator of SRL “Alepa-Bas”, without the consent of the general assembly of associates, submitted a claim, asking the court to separate SRL “Avinion Com” from SRL “Alepa-Bas” and oblige the State Registration Chamber to register the separation. “Vasile Petrea wants to appropriate my property,” said Petru Carastan. The National Liberal Party (PNL), which monitors the situation, is for the observance of the law and stopping of any abuses. In the same news conference, the party’s head Vitalia Pavlichenko said the PNL has always fought against abuses. “The people cannot find justice. Some of them seek help from the PNL as from the last force that can intervene and defend them. We got used to the fight against the anti-reforming and anti-European Communists. Unfortunately, the Democrats also became ‘infected’ with power and started to become involved in what Prime Minister Filat named ‘raider attacks’, trying to profit from the umbrellas in the Government and Parliament in order to enrich themselves,” she stated. Vitalia Pavlichenko also said that the ‘raider’ scheme was well-planned. The State Registration Chamber, in order not to break the law, on May 10 refused to register the reorganization by separation of SRL “Avinion Com” from SRL “Alepa-Bas”. But the Chisinau Court of Appeals quashed the decision of the State Registration Chamber and obliged it to register the separation. Petru Carastan appealed the Court of Appeals’ decision to the Supreme Court of Justice. A hearing is to take place on September 28. Andrei Luchian, chairman of the NGO “Adjuta Cives”, told the conference that the people ask the extraparliamentary parties to protect them because they can provide support. “We will follow all the cases involving government officials. The truth must come out. It is terrible when the people are killed for their property. Moldova looks like a home without owner. Everybody does what they want,” said the jurist. Vasile Petrea comes sixth in the Liberal Party’s list of Chisinau councilors. Earlier, he headed the Market located at 18 Ginta Latina St in Ciocana district.
