The Liberal Party’s candidate for mayor general of Chisinau municipality Valeriu Munteanu said Silvia Radu should not be registered as an electoral runner for the reason that she rigged the process of collecting signatures. On April 23, he filed such an application to the Chisinau District Electoral Council, IPN reports.

“I requested not to register the Democratic Party’s candidate Silvia Radu based on the documents she presented as an independent candidate for the reason that the signatures were collected by using administrative resources, constraining the signatories and violating the method of filling out the subscription lists,” stated Valeriu Munteanu.

According to him, the subscription lists from the start were completed with the personal data of persons who work in public institutions. Moreover, practically all the persons were forced to put their signatures on the lists under the threat of unfavorable consequents in the job.

Valeriu Munteanu also asked not to register the candidate of the Progressive Society Party Andrei Munteanu. “I requested not to register the clone-candidate Andrei Munteanu because this didn’t present the whole set of documents, as it was required,” stated the Liberal candidate.
