Lib-Dems urge Plahotniuc to quit
A number of Liberal-Democratic lawmakers called on First Deputy Speaker Vlad Plahotniuc to resign while delivering speeches in the January 21 extraordinary sitting of Parliament, Info-Prim Neo report.
MP Ion Butmalai said that cases of raider attacks and Interpol pursuit are connected with the name Vlad Plahotniuc. “He persecutes his former business colleagues and corrupts councilors. We will find ourselves in the situation that our Parliament will be bought with Plahotniuc’s several millions. Dear MPs, it’s a shame that we became voting machines at a time when our leaders conclude transactions,” he stated.
His Lib-Dem colleague Alexandru Cimbriciuc said that Vlad Plahotniuc should leave the post of First Deputy Head of Parliament, while Maria Ciobanu urged Vlad Plahotniuc to leave politics. “Mister Plahotniuc, you should abandon your dreams of becoming master of life and destinies. Even if everything they say about Vlad Plahotniuc is not true, he should anyway resign,” she stated.
The Communist faction also demands that Vlad Plahotniuc should quit. Under the legislation, the First Deputy Speaker can be discharged on the proposal of the Speaker.
