Lexmax and JLC finished the futsal championship with the same score and will thus play a ‘golden match’ that will decide Moldova’s champion, IPN reports.
Lexmax didn’t face problems in the encounter with Tarsus, scoring a 6-1 victory. The goals for the current holder of the championship were scored by Obada (3 goals), Negara (2), and Chiper (1). The only goal for Tarsus was scored by former top scorer of the championship Valeriu Baesu.
“This match was important as it decided the fate of the golden match. We prepared physically and morally for winning a victory,” Lexmax coach Vasile Arlet said after the game.
The holder of this year’s Cup Tarsus won the bronze medal. “I’m satisfied with this season. We aimed to win the gold and Moldova’s Cup. I can say that we achieved half of the goal,” said the coach-player of Tarsus Alexandr Derik.
On April 14, the Futsal Association will decide when the golden match between Lexmax and JLC will take place. A similar match was played two years ago, when Lexmax beat Tarsus 5-2.
