A Leova woman, 17, was stabbed to death last Saturday night after an argument with a young man, 18, who she just met on social media.

The crime was discovered after the suspect’s friend, a 19-year-old, turned himself in. He told the police that all three of them went out that night. An argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, and the witness says he saw his friend take out a knife and stabbing the girl to the neck and the stomach.

According to the witness, he ran away immediately and called the police, while the suspect hid the body and left the scene. The body was found covered in brushwood and dry grass.

Both persons of interest have been detained, with the police investigating to establish all the circumstances.
