Leonida Lari will be buried tomorrow

The funeral of poet Leonida Lari will take place on Tuesday, December 13. On Monday evening, the body will be taken to Saint Teodora de la Sihla Church. On Tuesday morning, the coffin will be put in the hall of the National Opera House, where there will be held a religious ceremony and all those who want will be able to render a last homage to the poet, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
At midday, the funeral procession will set off for the Central Cemetery located on Armeneasca St in Chisinau. The Government will allocate 20,000 lei from its reserve fund for the funeral.
The committee for the organization of funerals, which was set up by Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Moldovanu, consists of members of the Writers Union and representatives of ministries and the Chisinau City Hall.
Leonida Lari passed away on December 11, being killed by cancer.
