The police started a criminal case after a participant in the protest staged by veterans in the central square of the capital city on March 2 broke the entrance door of the Government Building with a mace.  

Contacted by IPN, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati said that an investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of this case. A decision will be later taken in accordance with the law.

The veterans have protested in the Great National Assembly Square, being dissatisfied with the authorities’ attitude to them. They seek the resignation of the Government and of President Igor Dodon. The section of Ștefan cel Mare Blvd between the streets Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin remained inaccessible to traffic at 5pm.
