Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said that Moldova will not cede even a millimeter of the land that belongs to it according to the international law, making dereference to the Transnistrian region. He made the statement in an interview for “Digi24” TV Romania, when asked if Moldova is considering covering the European road without Transnistria, IPN reports.

“The precondition is that the European integration prospects for Moldova will bring additional elements that will make us more attractive for those who live on the left bank of the Nistru River. Consequently, we will have much better roads, infrastructure, hospitals and social centers,” said the Premier.

Iurie Leanca expressed his conviction that those who live in Transnistrian will then want the region to be a component part of Moldova. He added that the European integration will create much better preconditions for increasing the attractiveness of Chisinau for those from Tiraspol and will thus help facilitate the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
