“We are close to a denouement and I want to believe that it will be a happy denouement so that we are able to overcome this obstacle,” Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca said Thursday, referring to the antidiscrimination bill, Info-Prim Neo reports. The minister stated that a compromise was reached with Moldovan institutions and the European Commission about the formulations that will be included in the bill. They will be made public the coming days. The same day, the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Dirk Schuebel said that Moldova will not be able to start implementing the second phase of the Action Plan of Visa Liberalization without fulfilling all the commitments made, including adopting this bill. Last week, the Ministry of Justice announced that the initial antidiscrimination bill was refined and submitted to the competent institutions for approval.
