Iurie Leanca noted that the Moldovan-American relations follow an upward trend and voiced hope that the Moldova – U.S. Strategic Dialogue, launched in Washington in March 2014, will continue to serve as a multidimensional platform for identifying cooperation and will allow the bilateral cooperation to ascend to a new qualitative level by creating a permanent mechanism for consultation between the two states.

Pettit underlined the importance of developing the bilateral relations and reiterated his country’s firm commitment to support the reforms and democratic transformations in Moldova. The sides pleaded for continuing the joint projects and for establishing new cooperation partnerships in different areas.

Over the last 22 years, Moldova received about $1.2 billion in assistance from the United States. A number of 382 companies with American capital work in Moldova, with the U.S. ranking sixth by the volume of investments in our country.
