The leakages in the centralized heating system are due to the wear and tear of the pipes. In order to prevent them, the pipes must be replaced. But the necessary measures cannot be taken owing to the shortage of financial resources. “Immediate action is taken when there are leakages. But they cannot be fully avoided as 70% of the heat pipes are in a bad state,” Iuliana Bogushevski, the head of Termocom’s press office, has told Info-Prim Neo. The temperature of the heat supplied to the residents of Chisinau municipality is now 80 degrees at the exit and 53 degrees at the entrance. “The heating system actually resisted the low temperatures, even if there were several technical glitches,” said deputy mayor of Chisinau Vlad Cotet. Two leakages in the heating system occurred during the last few days. Swift action was taken in both of the cases and the heat supply was restored quickly, said Iuliana Bogushevski.
