Leaflets explain Moldovans how to cross border with Ukraine
The Ukrainian and Moldovan Border Guard and Customs Services have produced leaflets to explain the rules on crossing the border to the public. European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) has facilitated and financed the printing of the first run of these information leaflets, reads a communique of the Mission, rendered to Info-Prim Neo for dissemination.
The leaflets were produced in Ukrainian, Russian and in the national language of Moldova. On one side of the booklet you can find customs related information including how much money you can take through the border, what goods you can bring into/out of the country, how many cigarettes and how much alcohol you can take etc. And the other side of the booklet will provide you with details of documents needed to cross the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.
The leaflets were distributed to the public on Europe Days in Odesa and Chisinau and at border crossing points and other localities. It’s already possible to download two-page versions of leaflets from the official web sites of the Moldovan Border Guard and Customs Services, the same is planned by the Ukrainian services.
These leaflets are the result of training in public relations organized by the EU Mission for the partner services in 2007-2008.
