The leaders of the parties of the government coalition consider that businessman Veaceslav Platon is to blame for the raider attacks of the last three years and the attempt to break up the parliamentary majority. The accusations were made in the program “Fabrica” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
The largest number of accusations against Platon was made by the chairman of the Democratic Party Marian Lupu. “Over the last three years, they have speculated about the raider attacks and the people should finally know who was behind them,” he stated.
He also said that Platon is also behind the attempt to corrupt the MPs. “It’s not excluded that this character, who is criminally investigated in Ukraine and Russia, wants to enter Parliament and to form a faction in order to promote the own interests,” said Lupu.
According to the Democratic leader, Platon acts not alone. He enjoys powerful support, possibly from outside too, and his goal is to prevent the signing of the Association Agreement.
The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat said he spoke about the ‘shrewd boys’ and the controversial businesmsna Veaceslav Platon three years ago and the law enforcement bodies, especially the National Anticorruption Center, should fulfill their duties more consciously.
Ion Hadarca, who heads the Liberal Reforming Party, said there were made many attempts to destabilize the situation before the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, including by illegally holding the referendums in Gagauzia and by the Socialists’ attempt to organize a nationwide referendum on joining the Eurasian Customs Union.
