The leaders of the people protesting in central square of Chisinau addressed an appeal to the President of Moldova, the MPs and members of the Cabinet, by which they ask them to come together for a meeting that will involve members of the Council of the Great National Assembly. The appeal was read in one of the ordinary news conferences given by the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, IPN reports.

“After the November 30, 2014 elections, the difference between the government and the opposition almost disappeared in Parliament. We call on each of you to break the vicious circle of party interests and to act independently, like real representatives of the people. Given that the proclamation adopted by the Great National Assembly on September 6 contains demands that refer to all the senior state institutions, we request you to immediately call a meeting that will be attended by members of the Council of the Great National Assembly so as to discuss the satisfaction of the people’s demands, including to dismiss without delay the government officials and functionaries mentioned in the proclamation,” said the Council’s head Andrei Nastase.

Protesters’ leaders noted that they are satisfied with the results of the protest mounted near the National Public Broadcaster “Teleradio-Moldova” on September 28. “In yesterday’s protest, we put forward a requisition and we think that it will be taken into account. Otherwise, we will have to stage new protests there. We also asked broadcasting live the protests scheduled for October 4,” said the Council’s secretary general Chiril Motpan.
