The country's leaders sent congratulatory messages to those celebrating Christmas today. President Maia Sandu said that this holiday brings us closer to each other.

"Christmas is the moment that brings us closer to each other, in the warmth of family and loved ones. May this holiday also be for us as a country an occasion of unity and hope, reminding us that through kindness and faith we can build a brighter future together", the President's message reads.

The president of the parliament, Igor Grosu, also came with a congratulatory message.

"Dear Moldovans, I wish you to enjoy the magic of Christmas and the time spent with our loved ones, wherever we are, in our homes, with our children or abroad. Gathered as a family, together with friends, let us cherish these unique moments, let us open our hearts wide for kindness, for the carol carol singing groups and with love and gratitude let us enjoy the Nativity of the Lord", said Igor Grosu.
