The People’s Party of the Republic of Moldova (PPRM) will do its utmost for Moldova not to be diverted from the European integration course, the party’s leader Alexandru Oleinic said in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.
According to Oleinic, there is a risk that most of the votes will be won by the anti-European parties as the parties of the ruling coalition discredited the political right. The fact that the country wasn’t prepared for the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU is one of the most serious mistakes made by the authorities.
“Our producers learned to produce, not yet to sell. The Moldovan authorities were aware that Russia may close the market for our products after the signing of the Association Agreement. Why didn’t they think on time to identify new markets? Why didn’t they work more with the market of Belarus, which has over 10 million consumers? The state should have prepared for the implementation of the Association Agreement not when it was signed, but much earlier,” stated Alexandru Oleinic.
In the same connection, the leader of the PPRM accused the Moldovan authorities of not finding possibilities of making the Russian authorities give up imposing bans. “I’m sure that these bans could have been avoided if Chisinau had shown more communication and diplomacy in the relations with Moscow,” said Oleinic.
