Andrei Nastase, the leader of the Platform “Dignity and Truth”, called on the people to protest against the nomination of Vlad Plahotniuc for the premiership. He made the call in the program “Politics” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
“I urge everyone to take part in the protests, regardless of the political preference. Let’s protest together continuously, until we remove the oligarchic regime. Now the color of the pail by which we will bring water to extinguish the fire does not matter,” stated Nastase.
Nastase noted that Vlad Plahotniuc defies the whole country by his behavior. “By aspiring to premiership, Plahotniuc defies common sense. Moldova must enter early legislative elections because the current Parliament is no longer legitimate and acts against the own people,” he said.
He also made a call to the head of state. “I urge the President to maintain his position and not to yield. He should know that the people support him. The head of state is obliged to consult the parliamentary groups, not yet the gangs,” he stated.
Andrei Nastase transmitted a message to the law enforcement bodies, asking that they should investigate how the MPs who signed for Plahotniuc ‘were blackmailed and bought’.
