After the April 8 snowfall, the layer of snow in the north of the country was 7 cm. The weather station in Briceni recorded ground frost last night, the head of the National Weather Forecasts Center Tatiana Strugac has told Info-Prim Neo. “Ground frost is expected in more parts of the country the coming days. The wind in northern Moldova intensified to 20 m/s, while in Leova even to 22 m/s. There was 1 degree Celsius below zero in Briceni. On the nights of April 11 and 12, the frost areas will reduce and it will become warmer,” stated Tatiana Strugac. An orange code advisory for a sudden cooling-off was issued for the period between April 8 and 11. There will be rain and sleet in most parts of the country.
