A 43-year-old lawyer is suspected of being the author of the bomb threat hoax at the Centru branch of the Court of Chisinau. On that day, March 26, he had a trial where he was to represent the plaintiff, IPN reports.
The Chisinau Police Division said the phone call was made from a disposable SIM card that was inserted in the lawyer’s phone. Even if the lawyer admits that the SIM card belonged to him, he denies having something to do with the bomb scare. He said his phone disappeared from his car in unknown circumstances, but he didn’t go to the police.
The author of the bomb scare hoax faces a fine of 27 000 to 42 500 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years in jail over intentional misinforming about acts of terrorism.
Two days after the bomb threat hoax at the Court of Chisinau, an individual informed about the mining of policlinic No. 10 situated in Ciocana district of Chisinau. This also turned out to be a hoax.
