A lawyer from Glodeni is accused of asking €3,000 from a client of his for influencing the decision of the prosecutor and employees of the Ministry of the Decision so that the legal case started against him over swindle be closed, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the anticorruption center. The lawyer was caught in the act of taking the money marked ‘bribe’. He faces up to seven years in jail or a fine of 60,000 lei. He will be also deprived of the right to hold a certain post or perform certain activities for a period of 2 to 5 years. This is the second lawyer arrested for traffic of influence this year. In 2010, the anticorruption center investigated ten lawyers for such an offense.
