Lawsuit filed by staff of Antena C and Euro TV put off for the fourth time
The case filed by the staff of “Antena C” and “Euro TV Chisinau” stations against municipal authorities, which was to be examined in court on February 20, was adjourned again, this time because the judge invoked a bad state of health, although people saw him walking down the lobby of the Court of Appeals, dressed in his court robe.
Maria Orlov, the plaintiffs’ attorney, told Info-Prim Neo that the plaintiffs were announced that Judge Mihai Ciugureanu, who hears the case, fell ill, and therefore the lawsuit was put off.
In her words, Cigureanu was seen a few moments later in the headquarters of the Court of Appeals, dressed in his robe.
Orlov claims that the delay in the lawsuit is not accidental, but is intended to wear the plaintiffs out, so that they submit: whether leave “peacefully” and find another job, or turn tail, because the pursuit of justice is too humiliating and health-killing.
The court was adjourned till February 28.
This is the fourth time in a month that the court adjourned this case.
Over 30 employees working at the two stations requested to urgently suspend the procedure of selling the two institutions and annul the precursory normative documents; to cancel interim mayor’s orders regarding the appointment of new managers of the TV channel and radio station; to oblige CMC and interim mayor to re-establish the proper functioning conditions of the institutions; to oblige CMC and interim mayor to pay damages amounting to MLD 100 thousand for each claimant. The plaintiffs said they would invest this money in developing the two institutions.
