The Chisinau municipality intends to get rid of the mud on the main arteries of the capital city with the help of lawns. The grass will be sowed at the trunks of trees so that it stopped the mud from pouring during rain. 

Asked by IPN, head of the Green Areas Association Eliferii Haruta said that by the end of May grass will sowed on an area of one hectare. The works were estimated at about 150,000 lei. The association’s workers will remove the surplus of soil at the trunks of trees and will then sow the grass.

Such works were already performed on the streets M. Viteazu, Kiev, T. Vladimirescu and Gr. Vieru. This week, grass will be sown on A. Pushkin St.
