Lawmakers will speak free on phone between them
The MPs will be able to speak free of charge between them on the phone if an internal communication network is set up. The issue was discussed in the meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau and will be included in the legislature’s sitting in two weeks, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“Some of the Communist lawmakers had telephone conversations from the fixed-line network to the mobile network of over 2,000 lei. It is more rational to create an internal network and we are now considering the best formula,” said the leader of the Liberal-Democrat parliamentary group Valeriu Strelet.
In the same meeting, the legislative body’s secretary general Adrian Fetescu said that about 70,000 lei will be saved a year if the network is set up.
Only the members of the Parliament’s apparatus now have corporate phones. The MPs receive free phone cards, plus 20 gratis minutes for calls outside the network.
