The national folk music orchestra “Lautarii” (“Fiddlers”) will create a holiday atmosphere in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau on the Language Day that is marked on August 31, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca announced on Monday, quoted by IPN.

The mayor said that he discussed the issue with conductor Nicolae Botgros. The latter expressed his readiness to hold the orchestra’s jubilee concert titled “At anniversary hour”, with which the artists traveled to a number of countries, on the main stage of Chisinau.

The concert was given at the National Palace “Nicole Sulac” on March 10, when master Nicolae Botgros celebrated his 60th birthday. On that occasion, more than 60 fiddlers of all the orchestra’s generations performed on the stage of the National Palace.
