Launching Conference of the Council of Europe Platform on Children's Rights
The Council of Europe (CoE) will launch its platform on children's rights at a conference to be held in Strasbourg on June 2-3, Info-Prim Neo quotes a press release issued by the CoE.
The Platform comprises a network of governmental focal points and representatives of civil society, ombudspersons, international organizations, and researchers.
Priority item on the agenda will be the discussion on the draft Council of Europe guidelines on integrated national strategies for the protection of children against violence. Topics to be covered include in particular, child-friendly services, prevention and monitoring of violence against children and ways of building a culture of children’s rights.
Experts from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom will share their experiences in the protection of children against violence.
