Latvian foreign minister to visit Chisinau

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Girts Valdis Kristovskis is expected to come to Chisinau on April 27. He was invited to Moldova by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca. An interministerial memorandum of cooperation in the European integration process will be signed during the Latvian official's visit to Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the press service of the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, Girts Valdis Kristovskis will have bilateral meetings with Head of Parliament and Acting President of Moldova Marian Lupu, Prime Minister Vlad Filat, his counterpart Iurie Leanca, and with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov. The discussions will center on the prospects of developing the Moldovan-Latvian relations and cooperation in trade, economy, agriculture, healthcare, and on topical issues of regional and international importance. Girts Valdis Kristovskis will stay in Chisinau for two days.
