Latest developments in Transnistria represent provocations, Igor Corman

The latest developments in the Transnistrian region represent provocations that are not in line with the spirit of the talks in the 5+2 format, Head of Parliament Igor Corman said in a press briefing, referring to the so-called legal act on Transnistria’s border, IPN reports.

“I think we must have a realistic and very calm attitude to all the events taking place. We must have a permanent dialogue with those involved in the talks in the 5+2 format. We should make effort to have peace and stability here, in Moldova, including the Transnistrian region,” said the Speaker.

The so-called legal act on the border was signed by the Transnistrian leader Yevgeny Shevchuk on June 10. It includes the Moldovan-administered Bender town, Varnita and two more villages.
