Last night’s storm hit several settlements in the country. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 23 villages in 6 districts were left without electricity, Info-Prim Neo reports. In Leova town, the wind brought down several trees and blocked four streets. In Bozieni village, Hancesti district, the metal tiles of the culture house’s roof were damaged. Local emergency commissions are working at the scenes to assess the damages. In Chisinau Municipality, the wind brought down some trees and the Emergencies Service staff had to pump water out of the basements of several apartment blocks on Ion Creanga, Calea Iesilor and 31 August streets.
