Last night was the coldest of this winter, announced Nadejda Stolear, head of the Forecast Section at the State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS), for IPN. On the night from Monday to Tuesday, temperatures dropped to minus 16 degrees Celsius, the lowest temperature recorded this winter.
On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, temperatures will range between -10 and -15 degrees, while for the night of February 20, temperatures between -5 and -10 degrees are expected. Subsequently, nighttime temperatures will vary between -7 and -13 degrees and will remain so until February 23.
Starting next Monday, the weather will warm up slightly, according to SHS. The cold will not be as severe as in recent days, with temperatures ranging between -3 and -8 degrees.
While daytime temperatures will fluctuate between -3 and +2 degrees until the end of the week, on February 24 and 25, maximum temperatures are expected to rise from zero to +7 degrees.
No snowfall is forecast for the upcoming period, according to the SHS forecast.
