The Central Election Commission warns the election runners and mass media that June 26 is the last day when campaigning is allowed. Under the Electoral Code, campaigning on the election day and the day before elections is forbidden, IPN reports.

During the two days, it is banned carrying out or covering electoral activities. The candidates running in elections are not allowed to take part in TV or radio programs and to transfer money to or from the electoral fund.

The continuation of campaigning on the two days by the mass media, contestants and people is punished with a fine of 200 to 400 lei in the case of private individuals and of 800 to 1,000 lei in the case of legal entities.
