Citizens who insure themselves individually will be able to pay the mandatory health insurance premium even on the weekend - March 29 and 30 - through the government's electronic payment service, Mpay.

March 31 is the last day the mandatory health insurance premium for the year 2025 can be paid with discounts, IPN reports.

Until and including March 31, individuals who insure themselves can pay between 1,264 and 5,054 lei, depending on the category they fall into.

Starting April 1, the full price of the health insurance premium will apply: 12,636 lei. A late payment penalty of 0.1% per day will also be added.

According to the National Health Insurance Company, between January 1 and March 27, 2025, more than 128,000 people paid the fixed-rate mandatory health insurance premium.
