Largest business incubator in Moldova opened in Nisporeni

A new business incubator was inaugurated in Nisporeni on November 19. It was set up with the support of the EU and is the eighth such incubator in Moldova. One more incubator will be opened by this yearend, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Ministry of Economy.

The incubator will initially host 18 companies, which mainly provide services. Afterward, the number of resident companies will be raised to 30 and there will be created at least 62 new workplaces.

“This business incubator is a platform for creating workplaces. The businesspeople can meet, cooperate and, more important, can obtain assistance from the state,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Andrian Candu said in the event.

The Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola said the incubators offer real possibilities for the people with business ideas to put them into practice. Entrepreneurship is very close to the EU principles – being your own chief and creating your own comfort.

Iulia Iabanji, director of the Organization for the Development of the SME Sector, which created the incubator, said that six incubators were set up in the country during four years with the support of the EU. “Today we take part in the opening of the largest business incubator in Moldova,” she stated.

The business incubator in Nisporeni was created based on the Policy Matrix of the Sector Policy Support Program “Economic Stimulation in Rural Areas” that is financed by the EU.
