The compensations granted by the state on the loans taken out by agricultural producers this summer for purchasing seeds, fuel and other materials will be raised from 150,000 to 400,000 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Government made relevant amendments to the regulations concerning the subsidization of agricultural producers for 2012. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said the situation in the agricultural sector is difficult as the producers were affected by the last autumn’s drought and the last winter’s frosts and now need additional financial resources to buy different materials and recover the losses. The aromatic plants were included in the group of subsidized crops so as to stimulate the recovery of this sector. The growing of seedlings in greenhouses will be also subsidized.
