Lack of young staff in Transnistrian schools

Fewer and fewer youth choose to work in education institutions in the Transnistrian region, and to this moment only 12 specialists applied for positions in Tiraspol, whereas a total of 40 is needed. Only one candidate wants to work at the kindergarten, reports Info-Prim Neo, quoting the regional ES-PMR portal. The administration is alarmed by the situation. Last year’s same period registered applications from 42 candidates. The main causes for making work offers in Transnistrian schools unattractive are small salaries and lack of housing for specialists from rural areas. Meanwhile, young teachers are advised to enroll in improvement courses, and to seek psychological counsel, which would help them overcome some conflicts within the faculty.
