The soft drinks, including the kvass, that are sold on the streets of Chisinau are not dangerous for health, deputy mayor Mihai Furtuna said at the August 1 meeting of the City Hall, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Mihai Furtuna refuted the press reports that dangerous bacteria were detected in the kvass. “There are five kvass making companies in Chisinau. The drink is sold by 31 economic entities that have been issued with relevant authorizations,” Mihai Furtuna said. Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior said that a part of the kvass sold in Chisinau is unsafe to drink. In a news conference on August 2, the head of the Ministry's press service Chiril Motpan said the information will be verified and a denial will be issued if it proves wrong.
