The Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselski expressed his confidence that he will establish a constructive dialogue with President Igor Dodon so as to contribute to solving the existing problems. The statements were made at the beginning of a meeting of the two in Bender on January 4, IPN reports, quoting the website of Transnistria’s leader.
Vadim Krasnoselski noted the meeting is an informational one and allows identifying concrete problems that will be later dealt with.
For his part, Igor Dodon said that since 2008 no President of Moldova had visited the Transnistrian region. “It is the first meeting in the last eight years. A lot of issues accumulated and are waiting to be resolved,” he stated, adding these are mainly related to the citizens living on both sides of the Nistru River.
