A consignment of humanitarian assistance from the Government of the Republic of Korea was delivered to Chisinau on July 1. The donation that consists of 200,000 safety masks was offered to the Emergency Medicine Institute of Chisinau, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
In the handover ceremony, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Oleg Țulea welcomed the Korean authorities’ decision to put Moldova on the list of beneficiaries of the humanitarian assistance program and thanked for the gesture of solidary shown in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Korean authorities took such a decision following agreements reached during a telephone conversation of Oleg Țulea and his Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha. The delivery of the donation to Chisinau was ensured by the Korea International Cooperation Agency.
