A group of Komsomolists asked the Chisinau Muncipal Council to annul the decision to pull down the monument to the Leninist Komsomole situated on Grigore Vieru Blvd., Info-Prim Neo reports. The young Komsomolists interrupted Thursday's meeting of the Council. “We started to collect signatures to stop the demolition of the historical monuments in Chisinau. We have collected 500 signatures so far and will continue the process until we convince the authorities to keep the historical monuments. “Do not touch the historical monuments,” they chanted. The Communist councilors tried to introduce the subject in the agenda of the meeting, but the other councilors rejected their proposal.
