Koblenz handicraftsmen to train Moldovan peers

The Koblenz Handicraftsmen Chamber and the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will launch a joint professional training project. It was presented Friday by the German handicraftsmen at a meeting with Moldovan Prime-Minister Zinaida Greceanai, Info-Prim Neo quotes a the Cabinet's press service. The Germans will provide info and technical support to organize training courses for Moldovan handicraftsmen. Such projects are said to have been successfully implemented in Romania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Now they are getting ready two workshops the curriculum for five different crafts. The curriculum is being drafted taking into account the Moldovan companies' needs for professionals. For this purpose, the German handicraftsmen say they have visited over 120 Moldovan companies. The Koblenz Handicraftsmen Chamber is one of 55 chambers of this type and is based in Rhineland-Palatinate. It joins as members 17,500 handicraft companies employing 200,000 professionals. The chamber trains 11,000 apprentices every year.
