Know you candidates! Constituency no.45 Gagauzia

Constituency no.45 Gagauzia is composed of Comrat town and 14 other administrative units in Comrat district. Voter will cast ballots at the polling stations 45/1 through 40/36. The candidate polling most votes takes the constituency regardless of the voter turnout.

The first listed on the ballot is the Socialist Party’s Alexandr Suhodolski, lawyer. He has served as deputy speaker of the Gagauz People’s Assembly since 2017. During 2015-2017, he was deputy mayor of Comrat, and during 2011-2014 Suhodolski worked at Gagauz-Gaz as a customer service specialist. The candidate is a member of the Socialist Party’s National Council and chairs the party’s territorial organization in Comrat. In the last two years, the candidate and his wife earned 342,000 lei in salaries, 5,000 in fees from teaching activities and 59,000 in other legal income. The family owns a car.

The second is the Democratic Party’s Fiodor Mincu, a teacher of physics and mathematics by training. Mincu currently heads Parliament’s Liaison Office in Comrat. He was formerly the mayor of Congaz and a counselor to the People’s Assembly Speaker. In the last two years, the candidate’s family earned 552,000 lei in salaries, over 18,000 lei in fees from teaching activities and 127,000 lei in pensions. Other assets declared include two inherited land plots, a house and two cars.

The third is Shor Party’s Nina Dimoglo, a lawyer and journalist. She is the president of the youth movement “Ileri” and of the NGO “Avanti”, and also founded the NGO “People of Faith”. In 2012, she ran for the People’s Assembly. Her declaration for the last two years includes 4,000 lei salary income and 55,000 lei donated as birthday gifts. Dimoglo co-owns a building plot and two houses.

The fourt is independent Nicolai Dudoglo, a teacher by training and currently uneployed. In 2014 he was elected MP on the Democratic list, but quit the party in April 2018. Besides the NGO “New Gagauzia”, in 2016 Nicolai Dudoglo and his wife founded the charity organization Victoria. In 2018 he went on to found the Patriotic People’s Union of Gagauzia “Devlet". In the last two years, the candidate and his wife earned 353,000 lei in salaries, over 46,000 lei in fees from teaching activities and 88,000 lei in other legal income. The candidate owns four plots and co-owns six others. His declared assets also include two houses, three cars, co-ownership of four aparments and of two commercial spaces.

The fifth is Our Party’s Dmitri Levinti, an engineer currently working at the heating systems company Termostal Imex. He is a municipal councilman in Comrat and the deputy chair of his party’s local organization. In the last two years, the candidate and his wife earned salaries totalling 87,000 lei. They own an agricultural plot, a car and a stake in a limited company.

The sixth is the Communist Party’s Ivan Cîlicic, an engineer by training. He is the first secretary of the Communist district organization. During 2008-2010, the candidate was the local supervisor of the Ministry of Local Public Administration in Gagauzia. An MP aide from 2010 to 2014. The candidate’s and his wife’s declaration for the last two years includes 5,000 in fees from state companies and 163,000 lei in pensions. They own an apartment and a garage.

The final slot on the ballot is occupied by NOW’s Tatiana Ursu, currently unemployed. Her last two years’ declaration discloses 9,000 in salaries received as a cashier at a limited company.
