Know candidates in your constituency! No. 30: Chisinau municipality

Constituency No. 30: Chisinau municipality consists of a part of Râșcani district and of a part of Ciocana district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 30/1-30/25. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.

The list of candidates on the ballot is headed by the Democratic Party’s candidate Nae-Simion Pleșca, a jurist and doctor of philology. He entered Parliament in 2015. He is a member of the National Political Council of the Democratic Party. Nae-Simion Pleșca was a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova and unaffiliated MP. After he voted for the Filip Government to be formed, he was excluded from the party. In April 2017, he joined the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party. Over the last two years, the candidate’s family obtained over 683,000 lei salary revenues, over 12,000 lei from teaching or creation activities and about 588,000 lei from other sources. The candidate owns a lot of land, four apartments, two houses and another four buildings and also two limited liability companies.

The Party of Socialists’ candidate Petru Burduja, an economist by profession. He is the deputy head of the Socialist group on the Chisinau Municipal Council and is a member of the National Council of the PSRM. He manages “Exclusiv Media” SRL. For the last two years, the family’s candidate declared over 381,000 lei salary revenues, 82,000 lei from selling a car and about 62,000 lei from other sources. He inherited four pieces of farmland and an apartment. He owns a car and holdings in two limited liability companies and in a joint stock company.

The candidate of the Shor Party Stanislav Kvasnyi, a jurist by profession comes third. He serves on the Orhei Municipal Council , heads the Youth Organization of the Shor Party and is a member of the party’s Central Standing Bureau. He holds the post of regional manager of the public association “For Orhei”. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 133,000 lei salary and more than 15,000 lei allowances. The family owns three apartments and a car.

The Liberal Party’s candidate Veronica Herța, an economist by profession, is under No. 4. She teaches at the Center of Excellence in Economy and Finance. She is the vice president of the Liberal Party. In 2016-2018, she held the post of director general of SA “Apă Canal Chisinau”. For the last two years, the candidate declared over 531,000 lei salary, more than 17,000 lei from teaching or creation activities or about 12,000 lei from other legal sources. She owns nine pieces of land, a house and another two buildings.

The fifth spot on the ballot is taken by independent candidate Galina Bostan, who headed Ciocana district in 2007 – 2018. Earlier, she worked as a Romanian language teacher, kindergarten director, logopedist, jurist at an enterprise and consultant at the State Chancellery. For the last two years, the candidate and her husband declared 63,000 lei salary and 140 ,000 lei from selling a car. The family owns six lots of land, a house, another building and a car and also a holding in a limited liability company.

The candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM Platform DA and PAS Dan Perciun, a specialist in political sciences, is under No. 6. He is the vice president of the Party “Action and Solidary” and president of the PAS Youth. He has served as a project manager at the public association “Civitta Moldova” since 2015. In 2014 – 2015, he headed the e-Transformation Division of the Ministry of Education. For the last two years, the candidate declared over 382,000 lei salary, over US$ 800 and about 289,000 lei earned from other legal sources. He received a donation or inheritance of €25,000. The candidate’s family owns parts in two apartments and about 24,000 lei in bank accounts.

The seventh spot on the ballot is occupied by independent candidate Oleg Golopeatov, a mechanic-engineer by profession. He is a businessman and manages the agricultural machinery repair company “MTZ-lider casa de comerț”. Over the last two years, the candidate’s family earned over 680,000 lei salary, 33,000 lei interest on bank deposits and almost 1.04 million lei dividends. The candidate owns a boiling lot, a house, three cars and holdings in three companies.

Independent candidate Valentin Dolganiuc, jurist at and co-owner of “WVP Broker de Asigurari” SRL, is under No. 8 . He was a member of Moldova’s first Parliament and of the next two Parliaments on the lists of the Christian Democratic People’s Front. He is a founding member of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth”. In 1998 - 1999, he served as Moldova’s deputy prime minister. For the last two years, the candidate and his wife declared about 269,000 lei salary and 60,000 lei from other legal sources. The family owns two lots of land, one of which was inherited, four buildings and a car.

Independent candidate Maxim Uvarov, a jurist by profession who is currently unemployed, comes ninth. In his property and interests statement, he didn’t declare salary revenues or revenues from other sources. He said he owns only a car.
