Constituency No. 27: Chisinau municipality consists of a part of Buiucani district and of a part of Râșcani district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 27/1-27/25. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.
The list of candidates on the ballot is headed by the Democratic Party’s candidate Veaceslav Nedelea, a historian and jurist by profession. Last May, he entered Parliament as a substitute candidate on the list of the PDM. In 2016–2018, he managed the Free Enterprise Zone “Expo-Business-Chisinau” and between January 1, 2017 and December 26, 2018, he earned almost 892,000 lei revenues from this activity. He also earned almost 204,000 lei while working at the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport, the National Agency for Curriculum and Assessment and the Lyceum “Gheorghe Asachi”. He gained almost 423,000 lei and €63,000 from the sale of property. The candidate owns four lots of farmland, two apartments, two garages and three cars.
The second spot on the ballot is taken by the Party of Socialists’ candidate Radu Mudreac, a veterinarian and jurist by profession. This became an MP in November 2014. Since then he has headed the Parliament’s commission on environment and regional development. Before 2014, the candidate served as director of SRL “Gradioni”, in 2008-2010 as director general of the Sanitary Veterinary Agency for the Safety of Products of Animal Origin, while in 2005- 2008 as head of the State Sanitary Veterinary Service of Chisinau municipality. In 2017-2018, he and his wife earned over 657,000 lei salary revenues, €75,000 from the sale of property and over 14,000 lei in allowances. The candidate owns a lot of farmland, an apartment, a house, a garage and a car.
The Shor Party’s candidate Cristian Botnarenko is under No.3. She is an economist by profession and works as a councilor of the Orhei Municipal Council. For the last two years, she declared almost 13,000 lei salary, 6,500 lei in allowances and 30,000 lei received on her birthday. The candidate owns a 100% holding in two limited liability companies.
The fourth spot is occupied by the candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS Vladimir Bolea, a historian and jurist by profession. He heads the Chisinau local organization of the Party “Action and Solidarity” and is a member of the PAS National Permanent Office. For the past two years, he and his wife declared almost 260,000 lei salary. After divorcing, the candidate gained €20,000. He also earned 240,000 lei from leasing out a car.
The Our Party’s candidate Ilian Caşu, a politologist by profession, comes fifth. He serves on the Chisinau Municipal Council. For the past two years, the candidate declared that his wife obtained almost 189,000 lei salary. He received 35,000 allowances, while his wife over 422,000 lei allowances. The family owns a garage, two apartments and a car.
The last on the ballot is the Party of Communists’ candidate Augustin Volconovici, an engineer by profession. He now serves as the senior consultant of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment. For 2017-2018, the candidate declared over 375,000 salary and more than 75,000 lei allowances. August Volconovici owns an apartment and two cars.
