Constituency No. 24: Chisinau municipality consists of Botanica district. The electors there will vote at polling places No. 24/1-24/30. The candidate who wins the largest number of votes in a single-member constituency, regardless of the voter turnout, emerges victorious.
The list of candidates on the ballot is headed by the Democratic Party’s candidate Alexandr Bannikov, an engineer by profession. He has served as a Member of Parliament since 2010 on behalf of the Party of Communists. After he left the Communist parliamentary group in 2015, he was excluded from the party. During the next two years he was an unaffiliated MP. In March 2017, he joined the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party. Currently he heads the PDM’s Botanica local organization. For the past two years, the candidate declared over 522,000 lei salary, over 36,000 lei in bank accounts and more than 2.430 million lei dividends. He also gained over 148,000 lei in allowances and rent. The MP’s family owns two pieces of land, parts of two houses, two cars, over 246,000 lei in checking accounts and shares in five commercial organizations.
The Party of Socialists’ candidate, current MP Vasile Bolea, a jurist by profession, is under No. 2. He is a member of the National Council of the PSRM and heads the Legal Department of the Charitable Foundation “SOLUȚIA“ that he founded. He is a master of rugby of international class and a member of Moldova’s rugby squad. For the past two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 544,000 lei salary. Vasile Bolea also declared over 133,000 lei and almost €6,000 earned from other sources. The family possesses two pieces of land, two apartments and two cars and also 23,000 lei in investment funds and shareholdings in three companies.
The Shor Party’s candidate Sergey Burgudji, lecturer at the International College of Business and Administration and manager at “Dufremol” SRL, takes the third spot. He heads the Shor Party’s local organization in Botanica. For the past two years, the candidate declared over 240,000 lei salary, over 21,000 lei earned from teaching and creation activities and more than 31,000 lei in allowances. He owns an apartment and a car.
The fourth spot on the ballot is occupied by the candidate of the electoral bloc ACUM DA PAS Grigore Colun, a jurist by profession. He manages the limited liability companies “Locuința Confortabilă” and “Globalcontact-Tur”. For the past two years, the candidate and his wife declared over 333,000 lei salary and over 492,000 lei from selling an apartment and a car. The Coluns own six plots of land, a house, two commercial areas and four garages. The candidate is the founder and manager of four companies.
Independent candidate Artur Croitor, a development manager by profession, is under No. 5. He manages the association for promoting small and medium-sized business “Lumea Liberă” and the newspaper “Juristul Moldovei”. He ran in the presidential elections of 2016. For the past two years, the candidate didn’t declare revenues. He owns an apartment and shareholdings in three trading limited liability companies.
