The President of Romania Klaus Iohannis said that by investing the new Government for which the pro-European option is the key one, the Republic of Moldova took an important step towards overcoming the political crisis, IPN reports.
“The stability of this state is important both for Romania and for the European Union. The new Government of Moldova has a lot of work to do in the immediate future. Important reforms must be started and done. I follow attentively the political developments in Chisinau and assure our partners of Romania’s overall support,” the Romanian official says in a message, which was disseminated by the presidential press service of Romania.
The Government of Moldova headed by Pavel Filip was appointed by the votes of 57 MPs on January 20. The event led to protests in central Chisinau.
