Moldova’s economy is in a maturity crisis that should be overcome nicely. In this regard, the state should be more open to investors, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Kiril Gaburici was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Fabrika”.

Referring to the working meeting of the Cabinet members in Taraclia district, the minister said Moldova should widely open the gate to foreign investors as it is important to create jobs not only in Chisinau, but also in regions. For example, a new factory is built in Taraclia district and this will employ over 1,000 people. It is not easy to attract investors, but the Republic of Moldova has several advantages, including its position and the presence of free economic zones that offer tax concessions to investors. “This year we have a program for those who create more than 100 jobs. We will offer the companies a kind of subsidies,” stated Kiril Gaburici.

As to infrastructure, the minister noted he would like safety belts to be used in all the units of public transport travelling on the national roads.

Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc said the population of Taraclia district, starting with teachers and ending with the representatives of the local administration, is interested a lot in the state policies on the studying of the Romanian language. During the visit to Taraclia, they discussed the salaries of technical personnel of schools and kindergartens, which can be lower than 1,000 lei. “We were informed about the shortage of teachers, which is a general problem in the education system of the Republic of Moldova. We have 2,032 vacancies in education now. We were told that not many young specialists go there. Only several young teachers went to work in Taraclia during the past few years,” stated the minister.

Monica Babuc also said that in Taraclia they considered the possibility of creating a Bulgarian center for studying and conserving the Bulgarian cultural and historical traditions.
